"For 75 years, Liberty has upheld some of the values which should be dearest to our hearts: civil liberties, fundamental rights and human dignity. It has consistently stuck to its principles, however difficult this might have seemed. This was true in the Second World War and it has been true since the advent of the ‘war on terror’.
