| LIBERTY COUNCILThe Council is made up of Liberty members. Each year 15 members are elected by the membership to serve for two years. They take their seats after the Annual General Meeting, which also appoints a treasurer. Additional places are available for co-opting members of groups (for example, racial groups) which are under-represented in society and on the Council.
The Council meets three times a year and discusses Liberty policy. It has the power to make interim decisions before the Annual General Meeting debates and decides Liberty's policies. From its members, the Council elects an Executive Committee who meet at least eight times a year, and oversee the running of the organisation. Posted here are details of current Council members and minutes from their meetings. Minutes of Council Meetings
