Liberty is a democratically run organisation. Members are elected to the Council and Executive Committee, and contribute to and oversee the work of the office.
 
Liberty employs 23 members of staff, takes trainee solictors on secondment from four city law firms and relies on the support and dedication of many volunteers.
 
The work of the office is split into six broad areas:
Advice and Information, Policy, Litigation, Development, Press and Internal Operations. Each team contributes to Liberty's campaigning objectives.
