Liberty is delighted to announce the results of Write Human Rights, a creative writing competition aimed at giving children the chance to explore the basic values contained in the Human Rights Act, through poetry or prose.
Split into two categories - 4 to 10 year olds and 11 to 16 year olds - schools and pupils from all over the country entered a wonderful array of stories and poems, demonstrating both a clear understanding of human rights and no lack creative flair in the presentation of their entries.
The judging panel of Ali Smith, Anthony Horowitz, Georgia Byng, Simon Prosser and Shami Chakrabarti have now chosen their favourites and we are pleased to announce the winners and runners up below.
