Our campaign against detention without trial and later against the use of control orders has been about defending a key democratic principle - the right to a fair trial.
 
As part of this campaign we built a coalition of leading figures from the arts, academia, law and church to help highight the plight of our ancient fair trial rights.

People as diverse as actors, DJs, artists, lawyers and religious leaders signed our 'Statement for Justice and Security' which suceeded in highlighting the threat to our fair trial rights posed by the Government.
