| Liberty reaction to Lord Falconer's proposals on preventing delays in courts cases 17 Jun 2002 John Wadham, director of Liberty:
"Reducing unnecessary delays is obviously a good idea - but lawyers must have the time they genuinely need to prepare cases thoroughly or you put fair trials at risk.
"Justice delayed can too often mean justice denied, both for the defendant and the victim - but justice rushed can have the same effect".
